About Me

Hi! I'm Sarah Anderson.

Learning Experience Designer

I am a Learning Experience Designer and former educator with 8 years of experience researching, designing, and implementing curriculum. I am passionate about developing materials that provide individuals with engaging learning solutions based on individual and organizational learning needs. I am results driven, using data to evaluate learning impact and make improvements to each product.

My design philosophy centers around the learner, who should be actively involved in their learning experiences so they retain the content that they interact with. My goal is to make complex content and ideas more manageable for the learner while building their skills and confidence. Collaboration with SMEs, stakeholders, and team leaders is crucial to identify key content to be broken down into actionable objectives that will leave the learner ready to tackle any company task.

I have been trained in both backwards design and UDL, which I believe are key components of planning, designing, and developing content focused on filling learning gaps. Continually reviewing and updating learning solutions is critical for ensuring training is innovative, inclusive, accessible, and up-to-date with industry trends.

A little about me: I'm a Michigander! I love spending time outside enjoying our beautiful weather, but can also spend hours inside reading, playing board games, or watching TV. Spending time with friends and family is important to me, and I probably spoil my dog more than I should.
